Gamers all over have the ability to pick up the current generation of video game consoles right now. The big three known as Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have all put out their latest consoles to market. Though with Sony and Microsoft just releasing their consoles last month, it was interesting to see just how well both consoles would do compared in sales. Now that the sale numbers are out, it turns out that the Sony PlayStation 4 outsells Microsoft’s Xbox One but just barely.
Sony’s PlayStation 4 has sold over 2.1 million units with Xbox One only bringing in 2 million. Both consoles have held a very nice launch but it seems that the Microsoft Xbox One may out do the PlayStation 4 console in the long run. Since the PlayStation 4 was first brought out to market on November 15th, the Microsoft Xbox One console has only been available for sale since November 22nd. This means between November 22nd and November 30th, Microsoft managed to quickly catch up in sales despite the price difference.
With the holiday season among us, it should be interesting to see December sales numbers compared to the November launch. Microsoft receives further good news as it turns out that the Xbox One sales launch has been the fastest selling console with an average of around 101K units sold per day of availability.
